Tommy Bowden

Bio

Coach Bowden is in his second year at Lovejoy High School. Prior to joining Lovejoy, he served as an assistant football coach at Rockport-Fulton High School and Arlington Martin High School.
A 2019 graduate of Brownwood High School, Coach Bowden was a three-sport athlete, competing in football, basketball, and track. He served as a football team captain during his junior and senior years, earning First Team All-District honors and being named the Big Country Offensive Player of the Year. In track and field, he was a state finalist in three events.
Coach Bowden continued his football career at the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor, where he was a member of the program’s leadership council for three years. He earned First Team All-Conference honors as a safety and was part of the team’s National Championship in 2021. He graduated in 2023 with a Bachelor of Arts in History.
Coach Bowden has been married to his wife, Claire, for three years, and they welcomed their daughter, Scottie, in February 2026.
